A1 Licence
The open road, the breeze in your hair and the exhilaration that comes with riding the motorbike. There's nothing like it, however before you can enjoy the freedom that comes with it there is a crucial first step to make - obtaining your A1 licence.
The A1 license is the first step on the motorcycle licensing ladder. It permits you to ride mopeds and motorcycles up to 125cc with a power up to 11kW. The A1 license is open to anyone who is 17 years old or older. It is the ideal way to begin your motorbike journey.
To get an A1 license to be granted, you must complete the Compulsory Base Training (CBT) and take a theory test as well as a two-part practical exam. A2 Licence
The A2 Licence represents the second step to obtaining a full motorcycle licence. The A2 licence can be obtained at the age of 19 years old with an active CBT course and is a restricted version of the full motorcycle licence. A3 Licence
The A2 Licence allows riders to move up to larger bikes with more power. The A2 Licence offers additional benefits that you won't get with the CBT. For example you can ride on motorways and transport passengers. It is possible to make the transition from CBT to A2 by taking additional training and passing the appropriate examinations. The A2 license is valid for two years. After that, it can be upgraded to an unlimited A license.
